Andrew Meek has asked if people can bring back the Rotary Money boxes which have been handed out in recent meetings.
Change Over is scheduled for the 3rd July. Bit of a bugger - i will miss it as i will be in Canada basking in the afterglow euphoria of the RI Conference.
Next week's speaker
Sahkr Munassar was a District 9980's Rotary Foundation Global Grant Scholar, graduating from The University of Otago with Masters degree in Peace and Conflict Studies and is now the Red Cross Youth Coordinator Otago.
Sahkr’s homeland is Yemen, a place he is unable to return to due to his strong political views.
He will speak about the work Red Cross does in Dunedin including the Refugee resettlement programme and then speak specifically about the youth aspect of it. It will be a very interesting and thought provoking account of the struggles and joys of our city’s new residents.
“Sahkr is a very special young man with a delightful twinkle in his eye and I urge all members , partners and youth to come and listen to what he has to tell us.” ‘(President Sue)
Bowling Night!
