Several members of Dunedin Central Rotary Club drove to Oamaru, this week, to sample the potential catering for the 2018 District Conference- we were not disappointed. After a very fine and generous meal we were shown the interior of the New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Store building as a possible venue for a dinner/dance evening and then onto the Oamaru Opera House. The manager showed us through the magnificently restored heritage building and we all agreed that it would be fantastic and quite special venue for presentations and general conference activities.
By 9pm we were homeward bound in the pouring rain but with great memories of a fun night!

BRYN PEARSON
Bryn will speak about his experiences as a VSA volunteer in the Solomon Islands as an Infrastructure Adviser for the Ministry of Education and Human Resource Development.
Volunteer Service Abroad (VSA) is New Zealand's largest and most experienced volunteer agency working in international development.
We look forward to hearing of Bryn’s experiences and learning a bit more about VSA as an organisation.
